Lorrie first began publishing her work in 2019 in the American Journal of Poetry. She finds inspiration through time outdoors and reading. She is a firm believer that reading poetry and novels is the easiest way to travel! As a diehard Halloween enthusiast, her work often explores the darkness running parallel to the light. Favorite books include Mexican Gothic, A House with Good Bones and Hidden Pictures. Some of her favorite older books include Dandelion Wine & The Color Purple. She has been nominated for the Pushcart Prize and Best of the Net Awards on several occasions.
Recently, Lorrie has written three novel-length manuscripts in the horror, horror/comedy and speculative thriller genres. She is actively querying those projects.
